Will is an experienced business manager with a diverse background across a number of industries. He is formally trained in the Management of Hotel Operations and holds two highly regarded and internationally recognized Diplomas in the field. Will has worked in management positions for Peppers Resorts (Sydney) and the Stamford Hotel Group (Asia) where he was involved in the acquisition of the group’s first Australian properties.
Will has over 10 years direct experience in the hydrocarbon and mining industries. His experience includes project management, project approvals, preparation of Environmental Management Plans, Notices of Intent, Environmental Impact Assessment, licensing, pollution control, legal liability, biological monitoring, risk assessment, site inspections, flora and fauna surveys, compliance monitoring, waste management and rehabilitation. He has worked on a wide range of projects for some of the nation’s largest resource companies. He has a good knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals mechanisms, and relevant Australian and International standards.
Will has a strong background and genuine interest in corporate compliance with regard to safety, health and environmental management in the resources industry. He has strong experience in rehabilitation having owned and operated his own consultancy in Western Australia since 1997, and has a keen interest in environmental risk management including promoting the ASX listing of a ten million dollar HSE risk management firm.
His skills in the land rehabilitation industry extend from project costing through to site implementation and project management on behalf of clients throughout the Goldfields and the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Will holds two private company directorships and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
