Astron hosts Australia's Biggest Morning Tea

Found in: News

Astron participated in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea on May 28th to help in the fight against cancer by raising vital funds for cancer prevention, research and support services.

As part of Astron’s Biggest Morning Tea, our HSE Team Leader Brooke Maddestra presented to staff on the importance of skin cancer checks and prevention, particularly for staff working in the field.

Through generous donations from staff, Astron raised a total of $1,180.65.

Astron plans to take part in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea again in 2016 and would urge others to participate in this fantastic event which supports a very worthy cause.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is an initiative of the Cancer Council who brings together Australia’s leading state and territory cancer organisations, with a vision to minimise the threat of cancer through successful prevention, best treatment, support and research.
