New chairman for EPA

Dr Tom Hatton has been appointed the new chairman of the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) with Dr Paul Vogel stepping down at the end of his current term on November 4 2015. Dr Vogel was appointed in November 2007 and is the EPA’s second-longest serving chairman.

Dr Hatton has been a member of the EPA board since November 2014 and was formerly the Commonwealth Scientific Industrial Research Organisation Group Executive of Energy. He also chairs the WA Marine Parks and Reserves Authority and in scientific advisory boards for the Department of Water and the University of Western Australia.
